Development and management of the supply chain department including purchasing, inventory management, planning and logistics
Management of strategic and operational purchasing across the entire spend portfolio (direct and indirect)
Development and implementation of purchasing and supplier strategies in line with corporate goals
Close cooperation with Operations and R&D Engineering to coordinate material requirements for current orders and next-generation developments
Management of daily supply chain activities - from component purchasing to delivery to hospitals
Ensuring that goods are received on time and in full, tracking documentation and improving supplier performance by means of key figures and clear responsibilities
Continuous optimization of SCM IT systems and the process landscape while ensuring end-to-end digitalization and compliance with medical device regulations
Maintenance of supplier relationships and ongoing market and supplier analyses
Implementation of purchasing controlling, creation of KPIs, price and delivery time analyses and monitoring of quality indicators
Your profile
University degree in supply chain management, engineering or business administration or certified further training as a purchasing manager (e.g. certified purchasing manager), ideally supplemented by additional business management training
5-10 years of professional experience in supply chain functions in the field of capital goods manufacturing, preferably in the medical technology industry
At least 2 years of management experience in leading purchasing or supply chain teams
Strategic thinking skills combined with practical experience in the management of integrated purchasing processes
High IT affinity and motivation to optimize and digitize purchasing through the use of suitable tools
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a confident and assertive demeanor towards suppliers
Business fluent in German and English (C1 level); other languages are an advantage
