Your area of responsibility
  • Management and development of around 60 employees in the areas of sales, crate production, packaging, supply chain, purchasing and project management
  • Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through a flexible organization with end-to-end responsibility
  • Economical and efficient technical management of the products division in compliance with quality, cost and lead time targets
  • Organization of the order center, technical support for customer inquiries and preparation of quotations as well as ensuring optimal customer service
  • Sustainable expansion of productivity, capacity and personnel deployment planning and organization of a flexible crate manufacturing operation with just-in-time production
  • Management of operational purchasing, development of an effective supplier portfolio and ensuring efficient warehouse management
  • Achieving annual cost savings through operational excellence and procurement savings
  • Promotion of innovations, product developments and the sales pipeline
  • Management of investment projects with a focus on automation and digital transformation including IRR calculations.
 
Your profile
  • Basic commercial or technical training and a degree in business administration or sales at university level.
  • Further training in management or leadership at a university of applied sciences.
  • Many years of professional experience in plant management as well as in sales and purchasing within the industry (MEM sector).
  • Sound expertise in Kaizen, lean production management and digital transformation processes.
  • Sales flair and experience in customer acquisition and support
  • Several years of management experience in production departments as plant manager and experience in the application of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Experienced with modern production facilities and IT systems (ERP software such as SAP, Navision or Business Central) and MS Office 365.
  • Dynamic and charismatic leader with a winning demeanor and clear leadership structure
  • Business fluent in written and spoken German and English

With around 175 employees at 9 production sites in Switzerland, the company specializes in sustainable packaging solutions for the export industry. The headquarters in Untersiggenthal is the largest site in Switzerland with around 110 employees. It is divided into three production areas. Box production, large-scale industrial packaging and logistics/packaging center. We are looking for a dynamic and solution-oriented leader to take responsibility for the product portfolio strategy and operational excellence in production as Head of Product in a matrix organization.
