Interim assignment: Head of Galenic Development (m/f)
Your area of responsibility
Technical and personnel management of the galenic development department
Development and optimization of solid dosage forms (e.g. tablets, capsules) until they are ready for production
Planning, coordination and monitoring of galenic development projects
Technical evaluation of formulations and excipients in the context of new developments, transfers and optimizations
Support in the creation and maintenance of manufacturing instructions, test plans and other GMP-relevant documents
Close cooperation with related departments such as Quality Control, Production, Regulatory Affairs and Project Management
Ensuring compliance with all relevant GMP requirements
Collaboration in the preparation and implementation of audits and inspections
Direct reporting line to the production management or pharmaceutical production management
Your profile
University degree in pharmacy or related natural sciences (university/university of applied sciences)
Several years of professional experience in pharmaceutical development, especially in the formulation of solid dosage forms
Sound knowledge of process development, validation and technology transfer
Experience in managing teams - ideally also in matrix structures or interim functions
Very good understanding of regulatory requirements (especially GMP)
Structured, solution-oriented and team-oriented work
Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills

Our client is an established Swiss service company specializing in the production of pharmaceutical end products. Around 100 employees in the Basel region support national and international customers from galenic development and method development through to series production and release. To bridge a vacancy, we are looking for an experienced manager to start immediately or by arrangement as part of a fixed-term mandate for 6 to 12 months. Place of work: Pratteln.
